4. ESTIMATES AND CONTRACTS
4.1 Estimates
- Estimates are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days
- Estimates are based on information provided and site conditions at time of inspection
- Final costs may vary based on actual conditions and change orders
4.2 Contracts
- All work requires a signed written contract
- Contracts specify scope of work, materials, timeline, and payment terms
- Changes to contracted work require written change orders
5. PAYMENT TERMS
5.1 Payment Schedule
- Payment schedules are outlined in individual contracts
- Progress payments are typically required at project milestones
- Final payment is due upon satisfactory completion
5.2 Late Payments
- Late payments may incur interest charges as specified in contracts
- We reserve the right to suspend work for overdue payments
- Legal action may be taken for significantly overdue accounts
6. WARRANTIES AND GUARANTEES
6.1 Workmanship Warranty
- We provide a one-year warranty on workmanship from completion date
- Warranty covers defects in our work, excluding normal wear and tear
- Warranty is void if modifications are made by others
6.2 Materials
- Material warranties are provided by manufacturers
- We assist in warranty claims but are not responsible for manufacturer defects
7. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
7.1 Scope of Liability
Our liability is limited to:
- Direct damages related to our workmanship
- The total contract amount for the specific project
- We are not liable for consequential, indirect, or punitive damages
7.2 Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or inability to perform due to:
- Weather conditions
- Government regulations or permit delays
- Material shortages or supply chain issues
- Acts of God or other circumstances beyond our control
8. INSURANCE AND LICENSING
- We maintain current California Contractors License #1117672
- We carry general liability and workers’ compensation insurance
- Certificates of insurance are available upon request
- We are bonded as required by California law
9. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
9.1 Initial Resolution
We encourage direct communication to resolve any concerns or disputes.
9.2 Mediation and Arbitration
- Disputes may be subject to mediation or arbitration as specified in contracts
- California law governs all agreements and disputes
- Venue for legal proceedings is Los Angeles County, California
10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
- Project plans and designs remain our property unless otherwise specified
- Customers receive limited use rights for their specific project
- We reserve the right to use project photos for marketing purposes
